Matilde on Her Way to the Market This colorful and festive 15 foot bronze is located in front of the small and unassuming community library. The artist may have been a little over the top when she described Matilde as "multi-cultural and transcendental, representing universal trade, the richness and abundance of nature and the creativity and diversity of humankind."  Gee whiz … we just liked the way it looked!

Carnegie Library — This library, built at the turn of the century, is one of the most beautiful we have seen. Although it was converted to the present day Art Center in 1970, it still retains many of its original and elegant features such as Union jack windows, fireplaces, oak beamed ceilings, and carved banisters.
