As the road starts to descend there is a pullout for a unique scenic feature aptly named Devils Kitchen. A short interpretive trail leads to a surprising sight. Here in the heart of this most Alp-like mountain landscape, are hoodoos, spires and columns that look like they belong in Bryce Canyon.
The drive ended in Nephi. We drove down the main street in an attempt to find something of interest (and something to eat), but ended up proclaiming it a “dumpy little town” and headed home. But not before snapping a few photos of the Historic Whitmore Mansion (1898) ... now a B&B ... and an old shoe sign that was exposed by demolition. It's been a long day ... nap time!
