Welcome!Gypsy TourOregonSilver Falls

Silver Falls Park offers not only awe inspiring scenery but also classy respites. In the 1930s South Falls Lodge we relaxed around the towering stone fireplace on the original myrtle wood furniture. While enjoying another Americano in the main lodge at the Silver Falls Conference Center we admired the craftsmanship that created the warm wood interior.

After leaving Silver Falls State Park we stopped at the small quaint town of Silverton. The tiny historic downtown has a vibrant inviting atmosphere with its outdoor cafes, murals (many depicting Norman Rockwell paintings), large baskets of flowers hanging from every light post, and bridges arching over Silver Creek. The penny parking meters put a smile on our faces and added to the historic perspective of the town. Since we had seen numerous flower farms while driving, we decided to forgo a tour of the world’s largest iris nursery and the Oregon State Gardens.

Once you have traveled, the voyage never ends, but is played out over and over again in the quietest chambers. The mind can never break off from the journey.
