Harold Raynolds House (1902-08) — 1037 7th Street

This fine house is a typical example of a Chicago-style mansion ... built by a prominent banker. During this time period Victorian-style was on the way out while Prairie-style was becoming fashionable.

Dr. H. J. Mueller House (1881) — 524 Columbia

Located across the street from the Carnegie Park and Library, this eclectic Victorian boasts an eye-catching three-story octagonal tower. We discovered that the side porch of this home was boarded up and the house was covered in stucco. The owner did a great job of restoration.

Stephen B. Davis House (1902-08) — 500 Columbia

This turn-of-the-century Tudor style house located across from Carnegie Park has been divided into apartments. We found the English style to be quite unique to Las Vegas.

Waring/Rosenthal House (1895-98) — 800 5th Street

This painted lady is a superb example of a Queen Anne Victorian on Carnegie Park.

A.P. Buck House (1890-1895) — 717 Jackson

This Queen Anne, built for a local rancher, is located in the Lincoln Park District. We were impressed by the colorful spindlework and stone masonry.

Sherry was especially captivated by what she thinks is an example of randomly fit stonework known as rubble masonry. Located in the shadows of Highland University, this house was difficult to locate.
