The Sculpture Garden is complimented by a variety of cacti. We found just a few left in bloom and couldn't resist snapping a few photos.
It seemed that everywhere we turned we saw colorful tiled mosaics and murals.
During the last few days of our visit, we stumbled upon this incredible sculptured mural ... "Camino Real" ... while driving down a street that we had never travelled before. Another fine example of a city funded art project.
The Library Bar & Grill ... popular with the two-wheeled crowd ... employed a clever literary device on their second story facade.
The Bank of America building escaped our notice until we happened to drive by during a sunset. Also know as "Radio Center" ... it houses no less than seven radio stations.
Sherry was especially intrigued by the vivid entrance to the former Holocaust Museum.
After viewing "Southwest Pieta" by Luis Jimenez in Martineztown, we were looking forward to seeing "Fiesa - Jarabe" on the UNM campus. We were quite taken aback by the grotesque features of the subjects. Danny commented that the female looked more like a man in drag than a woman. You can decide for yourself.
Just a few steps away on the UNM Campus we came upon another series of wonderfully realistic bronze sculptures by Betty Sabo (La Jornada) and Gary Beals entitled "Modern Art."
