Welcome!Gypsy TourMontanaWest Yellowstone

The local Holiday Inn contains one of the most interesting attractions in town ... a restored 1903 Executive Pullman. This car transported the entourage of Union Pacific president E.H. Harriman on his trip to Yellowstone Park in 1905.

Walking through the car we couldn’t help but admire the Victorians penchant for luxury.

This vintage photograph illustrates that traveling by train could be fun.

The 1909 Union Pacific Depot now houses the excellent Museum of the Yellowstone. Built of native materials, the depot was designed to blend into the landscape and echo the style utilized for the National Park Service buildings in Yellowstone.

As depicted in this vintage postcard,  tourist once toured Yellowstone Park in horse drawn stages.

This is the only museum that focuses on Yellowstone's cultural history. Exhibits of early park memorabilia, postcards, and concessionaire ephemera provides a snapshot of the park's first tourists.
