Downtown was filled with vintage signs. Not sure if it was the Elmer Fudd or the cigars that attracted Danny to this faded advertisement.

The Cascade County Courthouse is a landmark in Great Falls. This imposing three-story English Renaissance Revival structure, with its striking copper dome, was built at at the turn of the century.

The interior of the courthouse was surprisingly intact with beautiful tile floors, leaded glass windows and elaborate ironwork.

Great Falls was constructed using the principles of the City Beautiful movement popular at the turn of the century. This accounts for the thirty five parks sprinkled throughout the city. The most notable of these is Riverside Park … it hugs the Missouri River and contains a multitude of statues.

John Mullun constructed the first federal road in the West … starting at Fort Benton and ending at Fort Walla Walla Washington. Statues like this have been erected along the course of the road.

This diminutive Statue of Liberty is an example of many such commemorative statues erected around the nation.
