Attached to the dining room is a screened-in porch that served  as a multipurpose outdoor room.

The landing leading to the second floor cantilevers over the sidewalk where the window provides a wraparound view. The area is lit by one of the most strikingly modern features of the house … the simple globes are textured with paint on the inside to diffuse the light.

This wall safe is located in the Master Bedroom. Elmslie designed the organic-patterned stencils that wrap around the perimeter of every room in the house.

This unusual light fixture in the morning room extends out from the soffit. A glass textured glass half globe is suspended from the especially designed bronze armature.

The single bathroom ... though sparse by today's standards ... has the most astonishing windows.

I do like to live in other people's homes. I enjoy being a guest. I am an inexpensive guest. When one lives in another's home he can enter into the psychic kingdom of that person.
